About Us

Core Awareness Training combines the most current and innovative strength and agility exercises with the time proven classics that fit male and female athletes have been using for hundreds of years. My Osteopath, and friend, Dr. Garren Gebhardt of Brattleboro, Vermont came up with this excellent description of what an athlete is.

Agility Training
“Athletes are highly
motivated healthy
people in motion”
How do I become strong and lean?

Your are an athlete if you do any or all of the following:

  • Exercise for health and prevention of disease.
  • Alter body image through healthy positive weight control and nutritional balance.
  • Use athletic activity to modulate and relieve stress.
  • Thrive on the high of competition.
  • Work on mastering athletic technique.

As a teacher of tennis, skiing, and windsurfing, I have coached many athletes and learned a great deal in what creates success. The ability to generate explosive strength through efficient and balanced movement is the hallmark of a good athlete. I realized many of my students did not have the strength or agility skills needed for proper technique. It was this observation that influenced me to study and develop my strength and agility practice. Thus the journey and start of Core Awareness Training has been a long work in progress. Some coaches think that my eye for assessment and correction is too precise, however, this level of coaching is essential in achieving one’s athletic goals. My goal is to educate athletes in how to become their very best. I am a member of the NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association) as a Certified Personal Trainer and I am currently training for the RKC (Russian Kettle Bell Challenge) certification in spring of 2007. My comprehensive, total-body fitness development program will make you tougher, stronger and quicker both physically and mentally. You will receive the highest quality of strength and agility training that will empower you to new levels of excellence and success. Whether you’re a competitor or just someone that wants to get truly fit, if you have the desire and commitment Core Awareness Training programs can take you their.
